In response to the increasing demands of maritime regulations, Epsilon has launched a new initiative aimed at helping seafarers better navigate inspection-related challenges.
With industry pressures mounting — driven by Rightship, SIRE II, and Port State Control requirements — the need for competent, inspection-ready crews has never been greater.
As a response to this, Epsilon leveraged its training infrastructure and experience in ‘preparing’ vessels and crew for audits and inspections to create a proactive learning opportunity for seafarers. We built on:
• our state-of-the-art Veritas Maritime Training Centers
• our newly introduced Pre-Vetting services, which are created and managed by seasoned Rightship-linked professionals.
In this light, Epsilon now offers weekly training sessions with those seafarers of an imminent joining. Taking place at our premises, those weekly sessions aim at familiarizing seafarers with key aspects during audits and inspections (e.g., expected by Rightship).
The service rests on a caveat: In the global crewing market, there is a striking lack of familiarity with inspection templates among seafarers. Through this initiative, we aim at bridging part of the gap.
