Veritas Maritime Training Center nomination for the SAFETY4SEA Training Award 2019

Athens, Greece. October the 1st, 2019 – We are excited to announce that our Veritas Maritime Training Center was a shortlisted nominee for the 2019 SAFETY4SEA Training Award and our management team has attended the awards ceremony, that took place at the Yacht Club of Greece.

The nomination of Veritas Maritime Training Center is a recognition of our dedication in providing training solutions that meet the highest quality standards. Training has become an integral part of our crewing business, as we believe that training is a key success factor for any company operating in such a dynamic and demanding environment. This is the reason behind our latest investment in electronically controlled, camshaftless engine training, seeing that technological advances, digitalization and automation are rapidly disrupting the maritime industry. The introduction of our innovative electronic engine training program represents our commitment to addressing the ever-changing training needs of seafarers and our focus on providing high-quality, hands-on experiential training.

The SAFETY4SEA Awards were organized for the fourth consecutive year within the scope of fostering Safety Excellence & Sustainable Shipping. Within this context, the SAFETY4SEA Training Award is awarded to any organization that provided a significant achievement or breakthrough or significant contribution in any aspect of maritime training.

We wish to congratulate all the winners, and especially our Principal, Springfield Shipping Co. for being awarded with the SAFETY4SEA Tanker Operator Award 2019, for demonstrating safety excellence and performance above average in any aspect of maritime activity.
